The members of the Santa Clara Firefighter’s IAFF Local 1171 regard themselves as members of the Santa Clara Community. We have made the protection of the citizens of Santa Clara our life's work. We want to have city leaders who are equally as committed to building and maintaining a strong community. We also support those measures which enhance our community. In order to support these goals, the Santa Clara Firefighters has established a Political Action Committee.

Each of our members contributes a portion of their union dues to help fund the PAC. We use these monies to support those candidates who have demonstrated that they place public safety and the betterment of the City of Santa Clara at the top of their priority list. We Have “Put our money where our mouth is.” If you value public safety as much as we do, we hope that you will become a supporter.
