OUR MISSION
The Mission of Santa Clara City Firefighters, Local 1171, is to support our members so that they may provide the highest quality fire, rescue and emergency medical service to the Citizens of Santa Clara.
TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION, WE SHALL BE COMMITTED TO:
Advocating for personnel, training, equipment, apparatus, infrastructure and other resources necessary to enhance public safety.
Supporting our members through programs such as cancer prevention and behavioral health.
Pursuing competitive wages, hours, and working conditions so that we may recruit and retain a talented and diverse workforce.
Protecting the welfare of firefighters and EMS personnel through educational, charitable, political, legislative, social and other community involvement.
Respecting the rights of our members, employer and the public in order to promote harmony within the Santa Clara Fire Department and City of Santa Clara.
